Terms of service

What you and van4life each agree to when you book a van through this site.

Last updated 21 August 2026.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are between you and van4life, a van rental business operating in Davao City and the surrounding region. By creating an account or requesting a van you agree to them.

They are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and any dispute is for the courts of Davao City.

2. A request is not yet a booking

When you fill in the form on this site you are asking us for a van. That is a request, not a confirmed booking, and it does not oblige either of us to anything yet.

We check that a van is free, then call you to agree the price. Your booking is confirmed only when we have received the ₱1,000.00 reservation fee. Until then the dates are not held for you and somebody else may take them.

3. Prices

Our day rates are published on this site: ₱3,500.00 a day for self-drive within Davao Region and ₱4,500.00 outside it, and ₱4,500.00 a day with one of our drivers within the region and ₱6,000.00 outside it. Rates are per van, per day, whatever the number of passengers.

A ₱300.00 carwash is added to every booking, once, however many days you have the van. If you are driving yourself and want the van brought to you rather than collecting it, delivery is ₱200.00.

The price the site shows before you send a request is worked out from these rates. The price we agree with you on the phone is the one that applies, and nothing is added to it afterwards.

Fuel and tolls are not included. You pay those on the trip.

4. Paying

The ₱1,000.00 reservation fee is part of the agreed total, not an addition to it. The balance is due when you collect the van.

We take no payment through this site. You pay us by cash, bank transfer, or e-wallet using the details we give you, and we record the payment against your booking.

5. Driving it yourself

If you are driving the van yourself, then on the day you collect it you leave with us:

  • a government-issued ID, which we return when you bring the van back; and
  • a ₱1,000.00 deposit, which is refundable and separate from the price of the trip.

We hold the deposit against damage, loss, and anything owing at the end of the trip. We return it in full when the van comes back in the condition it left in.

You must be legally entitled to drive the van, and only you or a driver you have told us about may drive it.

6. What you are responsible for

While the van is in your care:

  • fuel and tolls;
  • any traffic or parking violation, and any fine arising from it;
  • damage to the van, or loss of it, beyond ordinary wear;
  • anything left inside it, which we cannot be responsible for.

The van may not be used to carry anything unlawful, to tow, to race, or to be re-rented to anybody else.

Please bring the van back at the agreed time. The next customer may be waiting for it, and a late return can cost them their trip. If you are going to be late, call us on +63 965 059 3568.

7. What we are responsible for

We provide a van that is roadworthy, cleaned, and checked before it goes out, on the dates agreed, at the place agreed.

If we cannot provide the van we agreed, we will tell you as soon as we know, offer you another van or another date, and refund what you have paid us, including the reservation fee. That is the limit of what we owe you: we are not responsible for other costs you may have arranged around the trip.

If a van breaks down through no fault of yours, call us and we will help you and work out a fair adjustment.

8. Changing your dates

You can change the dates of a confirmed booking. Call us on +63 965 059 3568 and we will move them if the van is free on the new dates. Ask as early as you can, because somebody else may already have taken them.

A van needs about 5 hours between one trip and the next to be checked and cleaned, so the times we can offer you depend on when the van comes back from its last trip.

9. Cancelling

You may cancel at any time. Call us, or cancel it yourself if it is not yet confirmed.

The ₱1,000.00 reservation fee is not refundable. It is what held the van for your dates and kept it off the calendar for everybody else. Nothing else is charged for cancelling, and any deposit you have paid comes back to you in full.

We may cancel a booking if the fee is not paid, if the van becomes unavailable, or if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken. Where we cancel and you are not at fault, we refund everything you have paid us.

10. Your account

Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think somebody else has it. You are responsible for what is done through your account.

You can see and change a booking yourself while it is still waiting for a price. Once it is confirmed, a van is held against it, so changes go through us.

11. Your data

We handle your personal data as described in our privacy notice, under the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

12. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The version on this page at the time you make a booking is the one that applies to that booking.

13. Talking to us

Call or text us on +63 965 059 3568. We answer as quickly as we can, any day.
